Elastomeric Roof Coatings
Elastomeric coating is a formulation of the polymeric materials such as acrylic. A white pigment known as titanium di-oxide is used to make it opaque and reflective. It is available in viscose state. It has the elastic properties. It can stretch in summer and comes back to the original shape in winter without damaging the roof. Elastomeric Coatings are thick temperature resistant polymeric compounds.
The versatility of the coating has made it useful on a vide variety of roofs. It creates a uniform surface, which remains flexible in low temperatures also. It is reflective in nature and can be applied both in construction stage and in maintenance stage.

The Elastomeric Coating is available as both solvent based and water based. The coating is easy to apply. The house owner himself can complete a small or a simple roof. A large or complicated roof has to be done by a roofing contractor.
